The support your new employees receive when starting their new job can make a big difference. For example, make sure you have a clear induction process – this should include giving the new employee all the information they need, making them feel welcome, and matching them with work that suits their current level of knowledge and comfort.
The NDIS Quality and Safeguard Commission has free induction modules for new workers in the disability sector. Training for workers in the aged care sector is also available through the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission.
