Julie and Joyce – aged care

Julie is an aged care worker who has provided in-home care for Joyce for the last five years. Julie helps Joyce remain independent by assisting with cleaning, and providing transport for groceries and appointments. They have developed a close bond through their shared Aboriginal culture.
Loi and Son – aged care

Originally from Vietnam, Loi has been working as an aged care worker for the last six years. Loi provides care for Son and helps him live fully and independently in his own home. They have developed a close relationship through their shared culture and enjoy telling each other stories in Vietnamese.

Hanan, Shameran and Shaker – aged care

Originally from Iraq, Hanan immigrated to Australia and started her journey to become an aged care worker. Hanan enjoys working with people from diverse backgrounds, and has developed a close relationship with Iraqi aged care couple Shameran and Shaker, through the rich conversation they have in their first language, Arabic.
