If you are considering a career in the care and support sector, you may be wondering how to get there.

The care and support sector welcomes workers from all types of backgrounds. Whatever your culture, age, gender, experience or level of training, there is a pathway into the right job for you.

Some roles require particular training or qualifications. Having certain skills and training can help you stand out when applying for a job.

However, for employers, often finding the right person can be just as important as finding someone with the right qualifications. Your personal attributes, such as your compassion, flexibility and approachability, are what employers are looking for, and will make you a good fit for the sector.
